AWARDS
The Ontario PGA will announce the 2009 award winners on October 28th, the first evening of the Ontario PGA Golf Merchandise Show. Guests are invited to purchase tickets for the Awards Dinner which is sponsored by Golf Trends.
Guests are treated to a wonderful evening which celebrates the award winners for Club Professional of the Year, Teacher of the Year, Teacher of the Year for Juniors, Merchandiser of the Year and Assistant Professional of the Year.
The Ontario PGA will begin accepting 2009 nominations for the following categories effective immediately.
Ontario PGA Member can nominate an individual in any of the following categories by contacting Stacey Hewett at stacey@ontariopga.com.

• Junior Golf Teacher of the Year
• Merchandiser of the Year
• Assistant Professional of the Year
Golf Professional of the Year
The Golf Professional of the Year candidates are assessed in the following areas:
• CPGA background and zone and national involvement
• Pro Shop management, administration and interaction
• Playing Record
• Teaching background, methods and student success
• Merchandising, customer care and innovation
• Personal achievements in leadership, academics and philanthropy.
Teacher of the Year
The Teacher of the Year candidates are assessed in the following areas:
• Teaching experience
• Use of Facility
• Diversity of Lessons and students
• Successful Students
• Teaching Aids and Technology
• Participation in CPGA programs
• Publications
• Television appearances / productions
Junior Golf Teacher of the Year
The Junior Golf Teacher of the Year candidates are assessed in the following areas:
• Teaching Experience
• Use of Facility
• Clinic methods and diversity
• Successful Students
• Role Model for students
• Rules and Etiquette
• Organizational skills
• CPGA participation
Merchandiser of the Year
The Merchandiser of the Year candidates are assessed in the following areas:

Assistant Professional of the Year
The Assistant Professional of the Year candidates are assessed in the following areas:
